Electronic Arts to revive old hits

Even though the EA Games financial situation is excellent, marketing, designers and progamerite already thinking about future projects. In addition to already announced three hit game Battlefield, SW The Old Republic, Mass Effect 3 as the new title from the designers of Portal, which is expected to be presented at PAX, the EA is ready to return to the older games. During the interview Gamescom CVG, Frank Gibo stressed commitment to the revival of several older hits.

EA renewed intellectual property rights for several of its titles among which: Populus strategies and Theme Park, and almost simultaneously bought the rights for another hit Alpha Centauri strategy which once had the signature of Sid Meier. Except for these games EA has renewed the rights to cult Space Wing Commander and simulation mototrkachkata simulacija Road Rash. Besides these games for a long time EA is preparing to reizdadat Syndicate and which work together with the Swedish studio Starbreeze game WHY rights which have by 2009. Cooperation with Starbreeze began in 2008.
Being happy is that EA seriously understand the issue of cult titles that already have a huge number of fans. In the interview Frank explains that Gibo want to upgrade cult games, saying he should not re-issue relates to the issue of games with new technologies that are available but you have to change and gejmplejot that he must be different 10 years ago.

It seems that the first games that will wait Syndicate remake will be given that there are already scripts of the game were published siliconera. Announcement of the Syndicate is that it will be released for PC, PS and Xbox, but with more frequent publishing of games on Facebook and Google + by EA leaves room for another place where I could store games, and there certainly include transmission Consoles and "smart" phones. EA has recently re-branding their facebook gaming EA2D part of the BioWare San Francisco and to leave these games the development team at BioWare.

I must admit that I am usually skeptical when it comes to re-issue of earlier games that were hits, but I have to admit that there are games that truly deserve to be short today. And probably would have played is not to bad graphics, 8-bit sounds and incompatibility with Windows. Older gamers surely remember the X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment and Wolfenstein games that set more standards and certainly would have played if it is reissued. So while EA is sticking to his pledge to follow the fans should have success.
