Leo Apotheker, the previous chief man of Hewlett-Packard, announced in August that the company no longer produces the Tablet PC that will not work on operating system WebOS, and that instead of producing computers, will concentrate on software and business services.
This decision did not like many of the board of Hewlett-Packard, so Leo Apeteker last month last month was fired, and replaced with Meg Whitman, previous CEO of eBay. At his first press conference, Meg Whitman said last month that are still considering the option of selling the division for the production of personal computers. Besides the retention of business PCs, the new chief man of Hewlett-Packard also said that the company will remain in business with tablet PCs. The decision whether to continue the work of the WebOS operating system will be made in the next two months.
Earlier in August, HP bought the software company Autonomy for 10.3 billion dollars.
